God can be defined as the supernatural being conceived as the perfect omnipotent, omniscient, originator and ruler of the universe.
The personification of a force controlling some part of the world or some aspect of life. A man of such superior qualities that he seems like a deity to other people.
The object of worship in monotheistic religions or a material effigy that is worshipped.
Etymology from Old English is deity and from Proto-Indo-European:
Invoked, one; to call, to invoke; to pour.

Old beliefs

I was very reluctant to these topics as I linked them to religion and my education attending catechism classes. My student attitude was interesting: I wouldn’t listen, believe and agree on the teachings, maybe from a place of fear and need to feel important by rebelling against authority.

Why study the bible?

The understanding of its content helps me to open my mind and think differently.
Sharpen my discerning skills with more data and facts.
Understanding the history to learn the lessons to do better today.
It’s reading the purest (not altered) knowledge of the world to comprehend better self.

Why I pay attention to it now?

My self development journey lead me to challenge my fears and study my experiences.
I have been looking for something we all crave and already are/ have: love.
Recognizing that I am out of alignment with that core value, especially regarding self image.
I started with self forgiveness and acceptance journaling then heard more about light, astral, divine, spirits
To ultimately come to work with energy, the source, the universe and God.
In my latest training I see a lot of quotes or allusions taken from bibles scriptures.

Faith

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen
A strong belief in a supernatural power or powers that control human destiny
An institution to express belief in a divine power. Loyalty or allegiance to a cause or a person.
My reality has changed thanks for my curiosity to explore, travel to meet new people. Faith prior to trust is essential to be teachable and welcoming new ideas, reconsider our opinion on the “truth”.
